Tucker House is a fine home on Bragg
With a garden that’s far from a drag
Built by Charles Gillette
A great place to set
And sip coffee while reading your mag
Tucker House is a cool Colonial Revival in the historic Town of Warrenton, NC. This great home was built in 1924 and is an easy walk from downtown.
There are four fireplaces in the Main House and a fifth fireplace in the oldest of the three outbuildings – referred to as the “Tavern”.
Main house has a large Living Room, comfortable Sunroom, huge Kitchen, two large upstairs Bedrooms, separate Dining Room and a Family Room which could easily be a first floor bedroom, three full Baths, dual zone HVAC, 2630 square feet plus a clean basement. Screened porch overlooks back patio and garden.
One of the outbuildings is a beautiful Guest Cottage with it's own HVAC system. This adds another bedroom, full bath and an additional 446 square feet of living area to the total package. The Guest Cottage also has a screened deck.
Several granite millstones are nicely incorporated into the building and landscape.
All of this on approximately 0.62 acres with wonderful terraced garden designed by Charles Gillette.
